Ingredients
Rice:
- 1 Cup Rice
- 1 Cup Water
Omelette:
- 4 Eggs
- Milk
Base:
- 1/2 Cup Peas
- 1/2 Cup Corn
- 4 Strips of Bacon
- Anything else you wish to add such as prawns
Sauce:
- 1 Tbsp. Kikkoman Sauce Soy
Extras:
- Marathon Dim Sims
- Ho Mai Asian Entertainer Pack
Method
- Begin by cooking 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of water in a rice cooker until the rice is tender. Allow the cooked rice to cool slightly, then transfer it to the fridge for about an hour to enhance its texture.
- While the rice cools, prepare your bacon; dice it into small pieces and fry until crispy. Set aside once done.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 4 eggs with a splash of milk. Pour this egg mixture into a preheated pan over medium heat, swirling the pan to ensure an even distribution of the eggs. Once the omelette is partially set but still moist (not dry), cut it into thin strips and reserve for later use.
- In a wok or large frying pan, sauté the diced bacon along with the peas, corn, and any additional ingredients you've chosen to include (such as prawns) until they are well-cooked and aromatic. Adjust the heat as necessary to avoid burning these fresh vegetables.
- Once the base is set and flavors melded together, add the cooled rice to the wok. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes to ensure all ingredients are evenly combined and heated through.
- Finally, gently fold the precooked egg strips into the wok containing the fried rice. Give it a final stir to combine everything thoroughly. Serve hot, accompanied by any extra sauces or condiments you prefer, such as Kikkoman Sauce Soy for that signature Asian flavor.
